About Municipality of Chatham-Kent

Waste and Recycling Services is responsible for all contracted curbside collection of household refuse and recycling, the operation and maintenance of eight municipally owned waste transfer stations and nine leaf and yard depots. Staff oversee a Host Community Agreement with the Ridge Landfill owned by Waste Connections of Canada and are responsible for closed landfills and related waste management issues. We are also responsible for all waste diversion initiatives and advise and engage in many environmental issues affecting the Municipality of Chatham-Kent.
